Rebuttal by Turan News Agency
On February 5, Turan News Agency published an article titled “ Azerbaijan’s Presidential Plane Faces GPS Disruptions Over Russia, Investigation Confirms.” The article claimed that Azerbaijan’s official presidential aircraft, Baku-1, allegedly encountered external technical interference during its flight to Saint Petersburg for the informal CIS summit on December 25.
Turan News Agency deems it necessary to clarify that this information is inaccurate. The article is not based on verified facts or the results of any official investigation but is rather an interpretation by the authors, influenced by events related to the AZAL aircraft incident over Grozny on December 25, 2025.
The agency apologizes to its readers for this error.
