The Kremlin called the intention of Baku to close the "Russian House" a "misunderstanding"
The situation surrounding the "Russian House" in Baku may be discussed between the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, the press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, told journalists.
"This is a misunderstanding, and we regret it. Of course, we will raise this issue with our colleagues at various levels. If there are contacts at the highest level, we do not rule out that this issue may be discussed in dialogue between the two heads of state," said Peskov, answering a question about whether contacts between Putin and Aliyev on this topic are expected.
