The court leaves Nigar Yagublu in custody
On Thursday Sumgayit Court of Appeal rejected the complaint of the activists of «Musavat» party, Nigar Yagublu, on changing the measure of restraint and release from custody.
Thus, the Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Absheron district court, which rejected the petition to change the measure of restraint to other forms of non-custodial.
Despite the request of lawyers, Yagublu was not delivered to the court. Her parents and journalists were not allowed to the court too.
* Yagublu is accused in the case of a traffic accident on August 25, as a result of which a member of the Assembly of the "Musavat" party, Aydin Ajalov, died. According to investigators, the girl was driving without a license. The "Peugeot" car, driven by Yagublu, collided with "KamAZ" on the Baku-Shamakhi road.
On September 11, Absheron District Court arrested Yagublu for two months, even though the members of the family of the deceased have no claims against Yagublu. -05B06-
