The European Union called for the immediate release of Gubad Ibadoglu and Bakhtiyar Hajiyev
Baku/16.11.23/Turan: Press Secretary of the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Peter Stano expressed regret over the extension of the arrest of the distinguished scholar and activist Gubad Ibadoglu to 7 months.
“We urge authorities to ensure his access to necessary medical care, as well as his and activist Bakhtiyar Hajiyev`s immediate release,” Stano wrote on his Twitter account. -0-

AZAL has halted passenger flights from Baku to three more Russian cities – Nizhny Novgorod, Vladikavkaz, and Saratov, a statement from AZAL on December 27. Earlier, AZAL had announced the suspension of flights to Mineralnye Vody, Sochi, Volgograd, Ufa, Samara, Grozny, and Makhachkala.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has extended the special quarantine regime in the country until April 1, 2025. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
