The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey emphasize the importance of joint projects
The foreign ministers of Turkey and Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov and Mevlut Cavusoglu, at a bilateral meeting in Antalya discussed the issues of cooperation between Baku and Ankara on various problems. The meeting was held within the framework of the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.
The sides noted with satisfaction that the opening in the near future of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway will contribute to regional development, expansion of trade and economic relations, increase trade turnover.
It was also emphasized that the implementation of the TAP and TANAP pipelines will play an important role in energy security of Europe.
Joint military exercises by Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey taking place currently increase their operational capacity, serve to strengthen peace and security in the region.
Ministers noted and the importance of negotiations in trilateral format with the participation of Turkmenistan.
