The head of the youth organization "Musavat" is sentenced to 15 days(video)
Today the Nasimi District Court of Baku sentenced the head of the youth organization of the party "Musavat", Tural Abbasli, to 15 days of administrative arrest.
He was found guilty under the Article 313 .2.3 (evasion of the administrative penalty.)
Abbasli has been punished for not fulfilling 220 hours of community service. It was an administrative penalty for failure to pay a fine of 600 manats, imposed on him for taking part in a protest on January 12 in the youth center of Baku. Then several thousands of young people protested against the non-combat losses in the army.
In court Abbasli rejected charges of avoiding public works. A young man came to the Communal Services Department for work, and was registered there. However, he was not offered any work.
"Musavat" party considers the decision of the court politically motivated. -16D06-
