The incident around 102 Russian military bases in Armenia (Video)
Yerevan/18.07.18/Turan: On July 17, servicemen of the 102nd Russian military base stationed in the Armenian city of Gyumri conducted a military operation near the village of Panik, which caused panic among local residents. On July 18 the governor of Shirak, Karen Sarukhanyan, received the deputy commander of the base Alexei Polyukhovich, who apologized for the actions of the military, Armenain media reported. According to him, the military acted without an order from the command and assured that this would not happen again.
According to Armenian sources, the exercises near the village of Panik were accompanied by shooting and explosions. The territory of the community has never before served as a training ground, the leadership of the military base did not officially inform about the conduct of the exercises.
The publication Lragir reports that the Russian military "invaded the village of Panik, drove through the streets, shooting and exploding. People were frightened at first, then they realized that they were Russian soldiers, and demanded that they leave. "
This blatant case points to how Russian soldiers feel free in the territory of the whole of Armenia. Despite the fact that, according to the agreements, the places of their deployment are limited, they freely move with combat weapons throughout Armenia, even shoot and frighten people, the newspaper writes.
Will Armenia present a note of protest to Russia because its soldiers moved with a large number of weapons in the civilian area?
In January 2015, in Gyumri, soldier Valery Permyakov left the base with a machine gun, and shot in Gyumri a whole family consisting of seven people. There were many cases when civilian suffered due to the negligence of Russian military, and even children died, the newspaper notes. -02D-
