The Israeli side does not comment on reports about the withdrawal of its military from Georgia and Azerbaijan
The report of the 11KAN TV channel that the Israeli army ordered its servicemen to leave Georgia and Azerbaijan caused confusion both in Israel and in these countries. A number of Israeli media contacted the IDF (Israeli Army) press service to clarify, but did not receive a clear response. According to the Israeli website Vesty.co.il , information about the order for the Israelis to leave Azerbaijan and Georgia appeared only on the website of the TV channel.
The publication in the telegram channel was on the night of August 12, but there are no references to the order itself either in the IDF press service or in other Israeli media. At the request of the site Vesty.co.il, the IDF press service replied dryly: "The IDF is constantly assessing the situation, updating information on countries where IDF soldiers are allowed to enter." That is, the army did not confirm, but also did not deny the message of the 11KAN TV channel.
At the request of the Turan agency, the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan replied that it had no comments on this matter.
The official has not yet expressed his attitude to the Israeli side's message. At the same time, the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan issued a statement saying: "Recently, media resources in some countries, citing dubious sources, have been spreading disinformation about Azerbaijan aimed at misleading local and international audiences."
In particular, the Iran International TV channel, the Telegraph and Kan TV channels are mentioned as having allowed "information manipulation about Azerbaijan."
"We declare that there is no military contingent of any foreign state on the territory of Azerbaijan, and strongly condemn information manipulation based on false reports about this," the statement says.
