The “Musavat” Party has decided to participate in the parliamentary elections
The “Musavat” party will participate in the early elections to the Milli Majlis scheduled for September 1. This decision was made today at the session of the Mejlis of the party. The electoral headquarters of the party has been established, headed by Chairman of the Mejlis Arif Hajili.
At the session of the Mejlis, 51 members of this body supported participation in the elections, 19 opposed, two abstained, Gulaga Aslanli, the head of the central office of “Musavat” told Turan.
Musavat is a democratic party and its decisions are made on a democratic basis. 14 members of the Mejlis spoke at the session. There were different opinions regarding participation or non-participation in the elections. But in the end, the decision was made by a majority of votes," Aslanli said.
The Mejlis delegated the authority to nominate candidates for deputies to the divan (board) of the party," Aslanli said.
