The program of the visit of Ivanishvili
On December 26-27 the Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili, will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan. On Wednesday, he will be received by President Ilham Aliyev, as well as will have one-on-one talks , and the talks with the participation of delegations and the Prime Minister, Artur Rasizade.
It become known from diplomatic sources, that according to the preliminary program, no agreements will be signed during the visit. Not a press conference is planned. The meeting of only Ivanishvili with press is proposed after talks with Rasizade.
Representatives of the independent media in Azerbaijan have not been invited to the meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers.
This is the first visit by Ivanishvili in Baku after his appointment as head of the government of Georgia. Some intrigue to the visit of Ivanishvili add recent remarks on the possibility of revising the terms of agreements for the supply of gas and the suspension of Georgia's participation in the construction of the Baku-Kars-Tbilisi railway.—06D-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.

During the ongoing COP29 climate conference in Baku on November 14, a group of activists staged a protest condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The activists also denounced countries that supply oil and weapons to nations waging aggressive wars. The protest featured placards with slogans such as: "From fossil fuels to peace!", "End war crimes!", "Punish the aggressor!", and "Phase out fossil fuel use to achieve peace!" among others.
