Forum "Karabakh solidarity", organized by the Coalition - Alliance "For Free Karabakh" will be held on Wednesday in Baku at the Ambassador Hotel.
The forum aim is to gather a wide range of social and political forces to work out a common position of Azerbaijan on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict. "We believe that the Azerbaijani society, including the government and the opposition, should o be on the same position in dealing with the Karabakh problem. Everyone should do everything possible to liberate our lands," said Akif Nagi, the head of the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) and one of the initiators of the forum" Karabakh solidarity."
According to him, invitations have been sent to the ruling party "Yeni Azerbaijan", opposition organizations, and public associations. Participation of 200 delegates in the forum is expected. The forum is expected to adopt a joint declaration.
The Alliance "For Free Karabakh" unites 14 NGOs, including KLO, Association Ghazi (veterans), Society for Disabled ( the Karabakh war), and others. The Alliance advocates a military solution to the Karabakh conflict. However, said Nagi, with consideration of a number of Azerbaijani supporters of peaceful settlement of the conflict, the declaration of the forum will be made by consensus, and the position of the supporters of peaceful resolution will also be reflected in the document. –06D-
