The Russian Foreign Ministry is preparing a summit on Karabakh?
The tripartite summit to resolve the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh will be held in St. Petersburg, says the message in the Russian Foreign Ministry. Preparation for was discussed by the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin with French Ambassador Jean-Maurice Ripert, and co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group from France, Pierre Andrieu. Dates of the meeting and its agenda are not specified. On the eve the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has confirmed that such a meeting is prepared, however, official Baku has not responded to it. An oral agreement on such a meeting has been confirmed by the parties on May 16 in Vienna. The parties have agreed to discuss and propose steps to strengthen confidence-building measures at the front and the line extension of the OSCE Mission's office under the supervision of a personal representative of the OSCE chairman. However, in the aftermath of the Vienna meeting, the sides exchanged harsh statements, which reached its peak this week when Aliyev and Sarkisian made with mutual abusive accusations. -02В-
