The State Customs Committee of Nakhchivan abolished
Baku/28.11.22/Turan: The State Customs Committee (SCC) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) has been abolished. The Main Customs Department is being created instead of it - a structure subordinate to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
The corresponding order was signed on Monday by the President of Azerbaijan. This decision was made against the backdrop of arrests made by the State Security Service in the Nakhchivan customs.
Earlier, a number of sources reported on the liquidation of the State Security Service of Nakhchivan and the creation of a regional department of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan with direct subordination to Baku.
Previously, all these departments were personally subordinate to the head of the Supreme Interjlis of Nakhchivan Vasif Talybov, and did not recognize the central government. ---06B---
