The summit leaders in Baku Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran adopted a declaration
The presidents of Russia, Iran and Azerbaijan adopted a declaration on the results of the trilateral summit in Baku. The document notes the determination of the parties "to counter terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, illicit trafficking in arms, narcotics and precursors, human trafficking and crimes in the sphere of information and communication technologies."
Furthermore, the parties recognize that "the unresolved conflicts in the region are a major obstacle to regional cooperation", and underline the importance of their resolution "on the basis of principles and norms of international law."
"The parties will continue the comprehensive development of equal and mutually beneficial cooperation, and to deepen and broaden the political dialogue at various levels across the entire spectrum of issues of mutual interest," reads the text of the statement spread by RIA-Novosti.
Also, the leaders agreed to deepen cooperation in various sectors of the economy "based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit" .- 06D—
