Ukrainian forces are expanding their control zone in Russia's Kursk region. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have taken control of at least two settlements in Russia's Kursk region, advancing 1-2 kilometers further. Additionally, more than 100 Russian soldiers have been captured, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Aleksandr Syrskyi informed the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday. He confirmed that the city of Sundzha has been fully cleared and is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Furthermore, Ukrainian aviation bombed three Russian airfields overnight: Savasleyka, Baltimore, and Borisoglebsk, from where Russian aircraft were launching strikes against Ukraine. Ukrainian drones destroyed several aircraft based at these airfields.
Despite the reinforcement of new forces and equipment in this direction, Russia has been unable to halt the Ukrainian advance.
