Three Azerbaijan soldiers wounded
Baku /09/24/12/Turan: As a result of shelling by the Armenian armed forces in the Kelbajar direction, three servicemen of the Azerbaijani army were wounded. They were provided with medical care, there is no danger of life, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported.
According to the Ministry, on September 23, from 19:30 to 23:40, units of the Armenian armed forces from positions in the direction of the settlements of Yukhara Shorja and Jermuk, using different caliber small arms, intermittently shelled the positions of the Azerbaijani army stationed toward settlements of Istisu and Zaylik of Kelbajar region.
"As a result of the shelling, Azerbaijani army servicemen Amanullayev Rashad Aghajan oglu, Rahimzade Ruhid Oktay oglu and Javadov Ravan Shamsaddin oglu were injured," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry further said.
The wounded servicemen were provided with primary medical care at the scene. Their lives are not in danger, further stated in the press release.
The units of the Azerbaijani army deployed in these areas have taken adequate response measures.
"All responsibility for the incident lies with the military-political leadership of Armenia, purposefully escalating the situation," the message concludes. -0-
