Toivo Klaar discusses normalization of relations with Azerbaijan in Yerevan
Baku/06.06.23/Turan: EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar, who is in Yerevan, held meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister of Armenia.
According to Armenian media, he discussed the restoration of the Yeraskh-Goradiz railway ("Zangezur Corridor").
At the meeting with Pashinyan, the implementation of the agreements reached at the trilateral and five-sided meetings in Brussels and Chisinau were discussed.
Pashinyan raised the issue of the "humanitarian crisis" in Karabakh in connection with the "blockade" of the Lachin corridor, issues of the rights and security of the population of Karabakh within the framework of the "international mechanism". Pashinyan presented the approaches of the Armenian side to solving these issues.
Klaar is expected to arrive in Baku from Yerevan. ---02D---

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
