Transport Ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia to meet in Moscow
The next trilateral meeting of Transport Ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia will be held in Moscow on 28 January. This was announced by Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzana Sadig at the 16th session of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission in Tehran.
Azerbaijan's strategic location between Iran and Russia creates special opportunities for developing trilateral cooperation and expanding transit potential, he said.
‘The meeting in Tehran discussed the North-South project, which will allow handling 15 million tonnes of cargo within five years. In this context, the next trilateral meeting of Transport Ministers of Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia will be held in Moscow on 28 January,’ Sadig said.
According to her, there is a full agreement between Iran, Russia and Azerbaijan on the completion of the North-South corridor.
