Trial of Adviser to PFPA Head
On December 18 in the Narimanov District Court of Baku, chaired by Turgay Huseynov preliminary hearing is scheduled on the case of advisor to the chairman of the Popular Front Party Mammad Ibrahim. Turan was told by the lawyer Yalcin Imanov.
Recall that the reason for attraction of Ibrahim to criminal liability was the complaint of the former party member Mikail Guliyev.
On September 29 there was a conflict between them. The PFPA believes that a provocation was committed against Ibrahim in order to discredit the party.
Initially, Ibrahim was charged under article 221.1 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment up to 1 year as maximum penalty.
However, as the defense claimed, the investigation retroactively found two more "victims", changing the charge into Article 221.2.2 stipulating from 3 to 5 years of imprisonment. -06B--
