Trilateral meeting of deputy prime ministers in Moscow disrupted - head of Armenian Security Council
Baku / 02.12.21 / Turan: At a meeting of the trilateral working group in Moscow on December 1, it was not possible to formulate agreements. Head of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan said on December 2 to Radio Liberty, commenting on the meeting of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Recall that the agreement on unblocking regional communications was announced following the meeting of the leaders of the three countries on November 26 in Sochi. This agreement was supposed to be formalized in a document by three deputy prime ministers in Moscow, but this did not happen.
At the same time, the Armenian side announced that another meeting at the same level will soon take place. However Baku did not comment on the results of the December 1 meeting in Moscow.
Meanwhile, the head of the Armenian Security Council actually accused Baku of disrupting the Moscow meeting.
“We are ready to unblock, we are ready to discuss the restoration of the infrastructure that existed during the Soviet Union. We are also ready to discuss the paths that may be opened. The roads that Azerbaijan will provide us so that we use the territory of Azerbaijan for communication with other countries, as well as the roads along which Azerbaijan will have the opportunity to establish communication with Nakhchivan, ”- Grigoryan said.
When asked why, in this case, the parties do not come to an agreement, Grigoryan made it clear that Azerbaijan is trying to include the issue of a "corridor" in the agreement, which is unacceptable for Armenia.
“I believe that Azerbaijan cannot show such a political will that would allow promoting the agreements reached in Sochi,” he said. -02D-
