Turan`s correspondent - participant of Eurasia Foundation Network
Washington/14/09/12/:TURAN's US correspondent was selected a participant of the 2012-2013 Young Professionals Network (YPN), launched by the Eurasia Foundation, a Washington, DC-based non-profit organization that promotes democracy and market economies in the Newly Independent States of the former Soviet Union.
The YPN is part of the Foundation's efforts to cultivate the next generation of professionals working in the US capital on the Eurasia region.
"This inaugural class includes a diverse group of 32 outstanding participants from a variety of backgrounds in government, non-profits, the private sector, media, academia, and the US military", according to the Foundation's press release.
"The Network was created to offer an opportunity for young professionals in Washington to engage in thoughtful conversations on developments in the Eurasia region and hear from policy experts and experienced practitioners", the press-release said.
Leading policy experts, officials and practitioners will drive the monthly discussions and provide career guidance to the group. -25D-
