Turkish Foreign Minister is visiting Armenia
Yerevan/06.12.13/Turan-ArmInfo: The visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, will not bring improvement of relations between the two countries, said the head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Galust Sahakyan. According to him , Turkey now wants to raise its image, and show, that it is structural.
Earlier Davutoglu said that Armenia has accepted the invitation to take part in the BSEC summit on December 12 in Yerevan.
A similar invitation to the event was sent also to the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mamedyarov. -02D-

This was stated in a press release issued by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on the evening of December 10 regarding the latest situation in Syria.

The preliminary investigation into the case of Aziz Orujov, the director of the internet TV channel Kanal-13, has been completed and the case has been sent to the Sabail District Court in Baku, reported his lawyer, Bakhruz Bayramov. According to the lawyer, the defense will request the termination of the criminal case, as Orujov's guilt has not been proven during the preliminary investigation. Orujov denies the charges and links the case to his professional journalistic activities.

On December 9, 2024, the third round of political consultations was held in Riyadh between the foreign ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reported. The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Minister Yalchin Rafiev, while the Saudi Arabian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Walid Al-Khereiji.

On December 10, the Ganja Serious Crimes Court issued a verdict in the case of Sahib Mammadzade, head of the Dashkasan district organization of the Azerbaijan People's Front Party (APFP). The court found him guilty of the large-scale illegal trafficking of narcotics and sentenced him to 6.5 years in prison, his lawyer, Zabil Gahramanov reported. According to the lawyer, an appeal will be filed against the verdict. He emphasized that the court did not establish a clear link between Mammadzade and the drugs in question.
