US Ambassador visits Alley of Martyrs

A biopsy revealed the benign nature of a tumor in the thyroid gland of Alesker Mammadli, the    founder of “Toplum TV.” However, he and his family do not trust the results of the study, due to incomplete medical procedures and interference of security forces in the activities of doctors. At the end of last week, the results of a biopsy performed by A.Mammadli on June 22 became known, his brother Nasimi Mammadli told Turan. According to the diagnosis, the tumor is benign.

A meeting of the speakers of the Azerbaijani and Armenian parliaments is planned to be held in Geneva in November, the Armenian media reported with reference to the assistant to the head of the Armenian Parliament Movses Harutyunyan.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, by today’s order,  has dismissed Aziz Azizov from the post of head of the Executive Authority of the Surakhani district of Baku. By another order, the head of state appointed Adil Aliyev, who held the post of Deputy speaker of the Milli Majlis of the 6th convocation, to this position. This means that Aliyev will not run for parliament, since working in the executive branch is incompatible with participation in the legislature.

On the afternoon of July 8, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Kiev's military facilities. Most of all, the victim is in the Okhmatdet Children's Cancer hospital. As of 13:00 local time, 20 people were killed and 50 injured, mostly children. Dozens of people remain under the rubble. The multi-storey hospital has been completely destroyed. Destruction and damage to civil infrastructure were recorded in 7 more districts of Kiev, residential buildings were destroyed and people were also killed. Rescue operations are underway to extract survivors from the rubble. According to the authorities, the number of dead and injured continues to grow rapidly.
