US Takes Down ISIS leader in Somalia
American troops last night killed a key ISIS leader who helped grow the organization in İraq and Afghanistan, senior Biden administration officials told reporters on Thursday, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.
The death of Bilal al-Sudani in a mountainous cave complex in northern Somalia leaves the U.S. and its allies 'safer and more secure,' the officials said.
U.S. forces also took down 10 other members of the terrorist group.
Al-Sudani was an operative and facilitator for ISIS’ international network and a major funder for the terrorist group, senior administration officials said, adding that his operational and financial role made him a major target.
