USA Initiated Meeting of Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Vienna
On Monday in Vienna there was a meeting of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and US Secretary of State John Kerry. As stated in an official statement published on the website of the Azerbaijani President, Kerry expressed concern of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group in connection with the events of the last time on the front line.
In this regard, the co-chair countries at the initiative of the United States decided to organize a meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents.
Kerry noted the importance of achieving a number of issues identified by the agreements during this meeting.
Kerry said the importance of returning to the negotiating table, enhancing mutual trust and understanding. In this way, the negotiating process should be given constructive character, and it has been continued.
Aliyev expressed gratitude to US Secretary of State. He expressed readiness to continue the negotiations on these issues. -06D--
