Visit of Ilham Aliyev to Germany
In the framework of his working visit to Germany, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held a series of meetings with the Chairman of the Board of the German-Azerbaijani Forum Hans-Eberhard Schleier and members of this body.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of relations and exchanged views on the prospects of development of relations, according to the President's website.
Aliyev also met in Berlin with the Executive Vice President of Airbus Group, Jean-Pierre Talamon. At the meeting they noted the fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Airbus Group. The sides exchanged views on further development of cooperation in various fields, in particular, between CJSC Azerbaijan Airlines and Airbus Group, including in the sphere of space industry.
In addition, Aliyev met in Berlin with the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference Wolfgang Friedrich Ischinger.
Today in Berlin there should be a bilateral economic forum.
Aliyev’s meeting with the German officials is also scheduled.
Yesterday Human Rights Watch called on German officials to put pressure on the President of Azerbaijan to release political prisoners, eliminate obstacles to activities of NGOs and comply with the international obligations of Azerbaijan in the field of human rights. --16D--

The General Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation into the illegal mining and unlawful land seizure in the Garadagh, Binagadi, and Khazar districts of Baku, as well as in the Terter region. Facts of illegal extraction of building stone, sand, and gravel were established, carried out by unknown individuals who unlawfully seized land plots.

President Ilham Aliyev approved the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in transit cargo transportation along the "North-South" international transport corridor (ITC) on February 11, 2025. The agreement was signed on December 21, 2024, by the heads of the transport ministries of both countries.
