Yerevan ignores the opinion of the Minsk Group on Khojaly airport
Armenia is interested in the opening of the railway through Abkhazia and the construction of the Yerevan-Batumi road, said the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan in his interview with Interfax. He stated that for these purposes the Asian Development Bank provided a loan of 500 million dollars, and will help to ease the blockade of Armenia by Azerbaijan and Turkey. The opening of the railway will also contribute to it, he said.
Asked about the Karabakh settlement, prime accused Azerbaijan of disrupting the negotiation process by pardoning Safarov.
Responding the question of the fate of the airport in Khojaly and the first fly to Karabakh from Yerevan Sarkisian said that Nagorno-Karabakh is a vital corridor and technical problems, navigation, service-related transportation, providing standards of carriages by air are being solved now. "As soon as these works complete, the flights will begin", he said.
Sarkisian made it clear that the prevention of international mediators, in particular, the U.S. State Department, will be ignored.
Official Baku announced it would not allow operation of the airport in Karabakh, and it will be regarded as a violation of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty.-02D-
