Youth activists and defenders of the persecution of D.Babayeva
Youth organization of the party "Civil Solidarity" condemned the criminal case against Dayanat Babayev, a member of the youth organization of PFPA.
The statement reads that Dayanat was detained on suspicion of disorderly conduct last Saturday after a seven-day administrative arrest for participating in a protest action on November 17. This is regarded as a continuation of the policy of repression against political opponents.
The document calls on the authorities to refrain from steps leading to civil conflict, the loss of public confidence in the state, and the immediate release of Babayev.
The Alliance for political freedoms made similar statement. This Alliance draws attention to the fact that the detention was accompanied Babayev by violation of law. Thus, when transferring him from the temporary detention to the police station, family members were not informed about it, and Babayev was not provided with a lawyer.
The Alliance condemns persecution of youth activists for their political views and demands the immediate release of Babayev.–05D06-
