The theme of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement requires silence, and diplomats and experts should work on it, said at a press briefing Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Maria Zakharova, responding to a question about the results of the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in St. Petersburg. "It is important not to spray the positive progress in the public rhetoric, it must be preserved, in order to be realized in the course of concrete steps. Some topics require silence, because diplomats and experts should work here," she said. Expressing understanding of the media’s interest in the topic, she noted that "there is a difference between informing and use of public space for the tug of war." After the meeting of the three presidents the representative of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov said on reaching agreement on a phased settlement. The Armenian side denied it, and the Russian Foreign Ministry, represented by Zakharova called Mamedov “unfair and perverse.”- 02D-
