All current issues on the transference the Russian radar station in Gebala region to Azerbaijan have been almost solved, says defense minister Zakir Hasanov at a bilateral meeting with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Shoigu, held within the frameworks of the 65th session of the Council of Defense Ministers of the states CIS-members in Moscow.
"I am aware of the fact that virtually transference of "Gabala" has taken place, and there are not any problems. All current issues are being resolved, or almost, have been solved," said Hasanov.
He expressed a confidence that other issues of bilateral cooperation between military departments of Azerbaijan and Russia will be resolved today. In this case, the Azerbaijani Minister said that the historical relationship between the two countries continue to developed.
Sergei Shoigu , in turn, congratulated the Azerbaijani Defense Minister on the appointment to the post.
"This is a responsible position in any state , this is especially true in countries such as Azerbaijan ," said the Minister of Defense of Russia and wished good luck and success in strengthening the national armed forces and military cooperation between the two countries.
The Russian defense minister also held a bilateral meeting with Armenian counterpart , Seyran Ohanyan. " This is not our first meeting this year, and I am ready to discuss with you issues of military and military-technical cooperation," Shoigu said , referring to his Armenian counterpart. Seyran Ohanyan expressed his gratitude to the Russian minister of defense "for the opportunity to work on strengthening the military- technical cooperation."
In addition, at a bilateral meeting of defense ministers of Russia and Kazakhstan Sergei Shoigu and Adilbek Jaksybayov discussed issues of military and military- technical cooperation.
