Covid-19: the biggest problem is the deficit of drugs

***

-The number of patients with coronavirus is growing every day. At the same time, hospitals do not accept non-serious patients. Conditions are created for the further spread of the disease, infection of others, family members. Is treating non-severe patients at home the right solution?

- The second wave of the coronavirus pandemic is currently taking place in the world. Because of the mutation, a significant number of strains already exist. The specificity of this stage is that the contagiousness (infectiousness) of the disease has increased significantly, and when it occurs, it is accompanied by various changes. In this regard, it became necessary to treat seriously ill patients in a hospital and mild patients on an outpatient basis. Because hospitals do not have the capacity to accommodate, to treat all patients, the number of which increasing. There should be a compromise between outpatient and inpatient care so that patients can be transferred to the hospital when oxygen demand increases and the situation worsens. That is, it should be a unified system, even though outpatient and inpatient treatment are carried out separately.

- Often, there are reports that patients with a coronavirus leave home and police detained them. Even the Criminal Code has an article in this connection. But taking   into account that this person is not provided with medicines, is not provided with medical personnel, the patient does not have equipment for taking tests at home, which in this case should the sick person do, how should he go to the clinic, hospital to be examined through the apparatus, delivery to the laboratory of analyzes?

- The issues related to leaving the home of patients with coronavirus, that is, registered patients are not are organized correctly. The fact is that if these patients stay at home, they must be provided with medicines, food and other things. If such an opportunity is not created, it is necessary to take into account the need for them to leave the house and buy medicines. Of course, it is not desirable that such patients leave the house - in terms of infection, repeated colds and complications of the disease. In any case, there is a discrepancy here. That is, on the one hand, there is no provision, and on the other hand, patients are forced to stay at home. Because of this, such problems arise.

- Recently, there have been numerous complaints that patients with coronavirus are not provided with medicines. At the same time, drugs that affect the treatment of the disease cannot be found in pharmacies, or they are sold at a very expensive price, as if people were left to fend for themselves. This causes fear and irritation in people. Can the disease be prevented with medication? What needs to be done to ensure that both seriously ill and mild patients are provided with the necessary medical services? Why are people deprived of this concern?

- Right. The biggest problem in recent years is the deficit of drugs. For example, Arbidol, Ergoferon and drugs of this type, which are not active against coronavirus, are sold at inflated prices. These drugs are irrelevant. Currently, a drug called Favipiravr is sold at a very high price. People have no way to buy it. At the very least, sick people should be given a package of drugs effective to treat the disease. In addition, there is a deficiency of Clexane. This disease is mostly thrombosis. That is, a thrombosis begins with a tiny microcirculatory part. Each time this continues to cause intravenous thrombosis in all dissimilated vessels, which in most cases leads to the death of patients. Therefore, serious urgent work must be done to supply certain drugs. People should be given periodic counseling. That is, there are serious problems in connection with this issue.

-One of the factors widely influencing the spread of the disease is public transport. Since public transport, does not work properly in a pandemic, people, especially during rush hours; have to breathe in each other's faces? Naturally, the presence of an asymptomatic patient or a patient in general, the virus is transmitted to everyone else. Why is not the government taking action on this issue?

- Public transport has been discussed many times. In total, this is the worst area that is the source of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Because, unfortunately, it has not yet been possible to create order in the field of public transport. The three golden rules of a quarantine pandemic, pandemic behavior in the field of public transport are practically not normally observed. Of course, public transport remains a very serious source of infection. The heavy load on public transport, especially after the closure of the metro, also creates conditions for this. In any case, certain measures had to be taken in this area. We are already moving towards herd immunity and many questions are almost behind us.

- TABIB activity or insufficient activity in this area has caused irritation in humans. As well as deficiencies in health care, a lack of personnel, places in hospitals, medicines. Can this irritation be created purposefully?

- In fact, it seems that the country is undergoing a sabotage process related to the supply of drugs and other specific issues. In my opinion, it looks like this. It seems that certain people are interested in the shortage of these drugs, in their rise in price. These issues should be investigated by the relevant authorities. Those responsible for these issues should explain the deficit of medicines; there are not enough places, and why not all opportunities are used properly.

-Are there any supporters of the transition to strict quarantine? Do you think this is the way out? In general, what measures should be taken to prevent illness?

- The transition to strict quarantine is not an option. I believe that, strictly observing the quarantine rules, we must get through this period. As I said, we are moving towards herd immunity. Herd immunity means that if up to 70 percent of the population falls ill in at least one population, herd immunity occurs. Usually this is one of the ways in which respiratory infections, viruses disappear, gradually decrease. Now there is also the illusion of vaccination. Naturally, all this must be approached in a comprehensive manner. The advent of vaccination is not yet a solution. It can at least provide life-saving treatment for high-risk people, doctors, and medical personnel.
