Mother of Rauf Mirkadyrov hopes he will be acquitted
Mother of the arrested journalist Rauf Mirkadyrov is hoping for an acquittal. In an interview with Turan, she expressed the hope that the court will approve her son. Rauf has beebn in custody for a year and nine months, and during this period his health deteriorated. Constant headaches and impaired sight is a result of staing in custody. She also is outraged because she is not allowedto the trial under the pretext that the trial is closed. "I have never believed the charges against my son, and it is even disgusting for me to utter the accusation. I'd like this charge be changed.
"I ask the court to be objective, to justify my son in the name of justice. I hope that the President Ilham Aliyev, will play a role in his release," said the mother of a journalist. -03В-
