R. Aslanova: We are not traitors

A media campaign "launched against me and my son Elnur Aslanov  from the beginning is  nothing but a lie, slander and fiction. I firmly declare that  me and my son Elnur Aslanov  have always been faithful to our state, people and the head of state, and always will be, stated  the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights Rabiyat Aslanova commenting  on today’s articles  in  a number of media about the alleged ban on leaving the country   by her and her son  Elnur, about  the arrest of their bank accounts and real estate. Aslanova said that these publications  in the media is a slander-order. "In Azerbaijan, everyone knows where it comes from. Since the launch of this campaign  I three times formally appealed to the Ministry of National Security and requested fully investigate my and my son’s activity.

Today, I firmly declare that in my work as a deputy and a citizen of Azerbaijan,  and in the work of my son  there cannot be an ounce of drawbacks.

We are alien to such qualities as apostasy, inconstancy, infidelity. Me  and my son  honor the trust of our people and the state, no matter at what positions we are," said the deputy. "I am ashamed and sorry for journalists, publishing lies and slander information," concluded Aslanova.

Turan failed to get comments in law enforcement organs due to reports about the alleged  investigation in respect of  Rabiyat Aslanova and her son Elnur Aslanov.-03B-
