11 people injured in Baku due to the hurricane wind
Baku/11.11.21/Turan: As a result of the hurricane wind on November 10 in the evening in Baku, 11 people (5 men and 6 women) suffered injuries of varying degrees due to falling trees or other objects.
According to the Ministry of Health, one injured person was treated on site. Another one refused help, the rest were hospitalized.
Also, the disaster caused material damage to citizens. At Huseynbala Aliyev Street in Nasimi district of Baku a 20-meter tree fell on a parked Mercedes car. The fallen tree also restricted the traffic movement which was soon restored.
A squall wind with gusts over 30 meters partially tore a metal sheeting off the country's Parliament building. -05D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
