1,309 People Brought to Justice in Connection with Drugs in H1, 2017
Baku / 18.07.17 / Turan: In the first half of 2017 law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan revealed 1,697 facts of illegal drug trafficking.
In 470 cases, drugs were purchased for sale, and in 1,094 - without such a goal. Of the illegal turnover, 730 kg 723.566 grams of different types of drugs was seized. These statistics are given in the report of the working group of the State Commission against Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs for the first half of 2017.
A total of 1,309 people were brought to justice, including three under the age of 18, 112 of the age of 18-25, 181 of 26-29, and 1,013 over 30 years old.
Of the persons brought to justice 1,289 were men, and 20 were women.
During the reporting period, 111 tons 420 kg 868.99 grams in the form of green mass (307,356 narcotic plants) were collected from 432 hectares and destroyed. -05D06--
