26 illegal migrants were detained
Baku/04.11.23/Turan: During the joint operational search measures carried out by the State Security Service (SSS) and the State Migration Service (SMS) within the framework of the fight against illegal migration, 26 foreigners were identified and detained in Azerbaijan without documents on the right to reside and work in the country.
As stated in the SSS and SMS joint report, during the investigation it was found that foreigners were deceived by their compatriots, who organized their arrival in Azerbaijan, charging them 1,100-2,200 US dollars, promising to employ these persons.
The study found that foreigners were tricked by their compatriots into coming to Azerbaijan with a promise to work in the country for $1,100-$2,200.
Also, it was revealed that one of the foreigners who is involved in the organization of illegal migration is currently in Azerbaijan. Measures are currently being taken to identify and detain this person.
