Baku/22.06.21/Turan: Over the past day, 47 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Azerbaijan. At the same time, 111 patients recovered; there are no deaths, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the country reported on June 22.
The total number of infected has reached 335,568, of which 329,710 have recovered, 4,963 have died, and 859 active patients are continuing treatment. Over the past day, 9,247 tests for coronavirus have been carried out.
According to the same source, more than 3 million vaccines have been used in Azerbaijan - about 2 million people received the first dose and more than 1 million received both doses. Over the past day, more than 42 thousand vaccines have been made in the country. —021D06-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
