A disabled person of the Patriotic War was appointed a school cleaner

The estate concern for the defenders of the fatherland is declared from high stands in Azerbaijan. Indeed, there are many cases of solving the social problems of veterans and invalids of the second Karabakh war. Some are even appointed to leading positions in government institutions.  But there are occasional cases.

A participant in the second Karabakh war, a second group  disabled person, Ibrahim Huseynov, a medal-awarded resident of  the Salyan region was hired as a school cleaner, having a diploma of higher pedagogical education.

"At school No. 1 in the village of Garadagly in the Salyan region, where I work as a cleaner, students laugh at me. The director accepted me with a promise to appoint me to a position in my specialty when a vacancy appears, but he does not fulfill the promise," the military invalid told reporters.

Fazail Agamaly, the deputy of the Milli Majlis from the Yenikend constituency of the Salyan region,  confirmed the veteran’s message.  He promised to address the issue of I. Huseynov.

The head of the Shirvan-Salyan regional Department of Education, Senan Masimli, explained to the veteran the appointment of a cleaner by the lack of available staff for the position of "correctional training".   He was promised a transfer to a teaching position after the teacher was dismissed to the vacant position, in 1-2 months. But the teacher did not quit. Huseynov received higher pedagogical education in 2020 with a degree in correctional training.

The Shirvan-Salyan regional Department of Education reacted to the discrepancy between the state's concern for defenders of the Motherland and reality, saying that Huseynov was accepted as a technical employee of the school at his own request and did not apply in writing for transfer to another position. The Department promised to fulfill the veteran's request soon.
