Activist of the "Muslim unity" disappeared

Baku / 11.02.19 / Turan: The activist of the Muslim Unity Movement, Bakhtiyar Bagirov, disappeared five days ago, human rights activist Oktay Gyulalyev told Turan.

According to relatives, he was detained and taken away in an unknown direction on February 6 by persons in civilian clothes. At that moment he was in a teahouse in the village of Bakikhanov.

Only today, on February 11, it became known that he was arrested for 20 days and is in the Binagadi jail. It is not known which court convicted him and for what. Get a comment to the Ministry of Interior failed.

"Muslim unity" was established in January 2015, after which its activists were subjected to persecution and pressure.

On November 26, 2015, a police operation was carried out in the village of Nardaran and leading leaders were arrested and then sentenced to lengthy terms on charges of preparing to overthrow the constitutional system. Currently, more than 70 activists of the movement are under arrest. -05D-
