Almost 5 thousand infected with COVID-19 per day
Baku/30.01.22/Turan: Over the past day, 4,943 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan, 1,581 patients have recovered, 20 have died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said today.
In total, since the beginning, 656,284 cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in the country, of which 624,259 citizens have recovered, 8,720 have died, and 23,305 are actively sick.
Over the past day, 14,204 tests for coronavirus have been carried out.
Also, over the past day, 29,728 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
During the day, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose was 2374, the second - 1310 people.
The total number of vaccinations in Azerbaijan today is 12,000,749, of which 5,230,388 received the first dose of the vaccine, 4,742,169 received two doses, and 2,028,192 people received a booster dose.—06B-

The charges in the so-called "Toplum TV Case" have reportedly been escalated, with the investigation nearing its conclusion. This case involves the arrest of certain employees and representatives of Toplum Internet Television, the Institute for Democratic Initiatives, and the Third Republic Platform initiative. According to the defense, new charges under Azerbaijan's Criminal Code, including Articles 162-1.1 (engaging workers without an employment contract), 192.3.2 (illegal entrepreneurship with substantial income), 193-1.3.1 and 193-1.3.2 (legalizing property acquired through criminal means in significant amounts), 206.4 (organized smuggling), and 213.2.1 (tax evasion) have been added.

The Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed Turan that a State Traffic Police service vehicle collided with children on the roadside after another vehicle unexpectedly cut in front of it.
