Baku/10.09.19/Turan: The Bar Association suspended the activities of lawyer Adyl Ismayilov for 1 year. The decision was made at a meeting of the Presidium of the College on September 9. The Bar Association report noted that the decision was made as part of a "disciplinary proceedings". However, it does not specify which disciplinary offense is charged with the lawyer. Ismayilov himself has so far refrained from commenting. In recent years, a number of lawyers have either been expelled from the Bar Association or suspended from work.
Adil Ismayilov is one of the most experienced lawyers in the country. He advocated defendants in many high-profile cases. Recently, Ismayilov has published a number of posts on facebook in the case of kidnapping by the gangster gang of Haji Mammadov.
Ismayilov unveiled the facts that the leadership of the prosecutor General"s office had information about gang criminal acts and their inaction.
Ismayilov is currently a lawyer of the Radio Liberty Azerbaijani service in the lawsuit against state organs. -16D-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads. Efforts to extinguish the fire are still ongoing.
