Applicants to Be Helped by Advice
The State Examination Center (SEC) launched a new project, providing for the organization of a wide network of consulting centers for entrants throughout the country. The first such center began functioning from April 9 on the basis of Azerbaijan University in Baku.
According to the SEC press service, the purpose of establishing consulting centers is to assist applicants entering the higher and secondary special educational institutions of Azerbaijan. The experts will explain to applicants the rules for admission to universities and colleges, the technological procedure for filling and confirming electronic applications, and ways to solve the possible technical problems arising in this process. In addition, young visitors to the centers will receive maximum information about competitive conditions, about what should be paid attention, when choosing the specialties, and how to correctly assess their chances.
The consulting center for entrants that opened at the University of Azerbaijan will work 5 days a week (except Saturday and Sunday) from 10.00 to 17.00. Services will be provided free of charge. -0----

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony. The invitation, delivered by Member of the European Parliament Michael Bloss at the COP29 climate conference, comes as Ibadoglu remains under house arrest and prohibited from leaving Azerbaijan.
