Armenian Side Reported Two Soldiers Killed
At 9 a.m. on January 23 there was a fight on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at the junction of the Tovuz region of Azerbaijan and Armenia’s Berd region. As the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia reported in this regard, the Azerbaijani side tried to make sabotage, but was spotted. The firefight lasted half an hour. As a result, two Armenian soldiers, Lieutenant Karen Galstyan and Ordinary Artak Sargsyan were killed. Several more military men were wounded.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports about shootings in several directions, using machine guns, mortars and rocket-propelled grenades. Intense exchange of fire also occurred in the direction specified by the Armenians. The losses are not reported. -02D-
