At the trial in the case of "Nardaran-2"
Hearing on "Nardaran case-2" in which are involved deputy chairman of the Movement "Muslim unity" Elchin Gasimov and 11 activists of the organization was held in the Baku Serious Crimes Court. This is the second group of people who were arrested on charges of anti-government activities in the village of Nardaran.
Gasimov was arrested on 5 November, 2015 in the administrative order. After a special operation in the village of Nardaran, 26 November 2015 he was charged with terrorism, creation of illegal armed groups, illegal weapons possession, inciting ethnic hatred, anti-state calls, resisting police with violence, and others.
Those charges were brought against the defendant who were arrested in late November-December 2015 Today at the trial was declared the indictment. The defendants said they did not plead guilty.
At the beginning of the hearing the presiding judge read out a statement by Mayil Bayramov accused the disqualification of the judge. However, the withdrawal was not satisfied. The next meeting is scheduled for 19 January. -36C06--
