Attorney again is not allowed to meet with Leyla Yunus
Elchin Gambarov, an advocate of human rights activist Leyla Yunus, again failed to get a meeting with his client. "I arrived to jail in Kurdakhani to meet with Yunus, but the jail representative said that Yunus is sick and cannot meet with," Qambarov told.
" Then I asked her to give written notice to me about it, and I was brought a note written by her. It said: "I am sick, I cannot move. I was not given an opportunity to talk to Azad (Azad Isazade - Ed.) I will hardly see something," said the lawyer.
Qambarov asked Azer Seyidov, the head of jail for clarification.
"I said, if she is sick, she should be transferred to the medical unit. Seyidov called the doctor in my presence, and asked about health of Leyla Yunus, but was told that she is quite healthy," said the lawyer.
Elchin Gambarov considers the actions of the Prison Service illegal, and he intends to make a statement on the matter.
The lawyers were not allowed to meet with Yunus on 22 September. In this connection, her defenders - Khalid Bagirov, Fariz Namazly, Javad Javadov, and Alaif Hasanov issued a joint statement demanding the immediate attention of government agencies, and permitting the meeting of lawyers with Leila Yunus.-0

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property.
