"Azerbaijan Airlines will once again operate flights under single brand AZAL
Baku/28.07.23/Turan: In October 2023, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Buta Airways will merge into a single brand - AZAL.
"The merger, combining the best qualities of both airlines, will further expand the opportunities for passengers to travel at affordable fares, as well as provide our customers with convenient travel planning and increase the level of service provided to them," the press service of "Azerbaijan Airlines" said in a statement.
After the merger, all "Buta Airways" flights will be offered under a single "AZAL" brand, while maintaining the current affordable prices, but with increased level of service. Various discount campaigns will continue throughout the year.
"AZAL" will introduce the new "Buta Budget" fare on all its flights in order to make air travel more affordable for all passengers.
Besides, all fares will include hand baggage and, except for "Buta Budget" baggage free fare, the baggage allowance will be increased. Furthermore, our passengers will be presented with an updated menu.
Regardless of the chosen destination, tickets for flights can be booked and paid for through the unified website www.azal.az and AZAL mobile application.
It is to be noted that "Buta Airways" as a low-budget company within the structure of "Azerbaijan Airlines" was established 8 years ago.
However, passengers did not feel any strong difference in prices between "Buta Airways" and "AZAL".
Relatively low prices on "Buta Airways" flights were levelled by additional fees for hand luggage and baggage. -0D-
