Azerbaijan Detains ISIS Man Reported by Georgia
Tbilisi / 17.11.15 / Turan-BSPRESS: Georgian State Security Service helped Azerbaijan to detain a man recruited by the Islamic State (ISIS). This was announced by the deputy head of the State Security Service of Georgia Levan Izoria in an interview with the TV Company Maestro.
"Yesterday in Balakan, Azerbaijan on the basis of information provided by us, an Azerbaijani citizen was detained. He tried to illegally cross the border with Georgia, go to Syria and fight in the ranks of the Islamic State," said Izoria.
He stressed that all measures are taken to ensure that Georgia will not become a transit country for persons recruited by ISIS.
