Azerbaijan to have 4 consecutive days off
Baku/05.11.21/Turan: The next four days will not be working days in Azerbaijan.
Following November 6-7, the 8th and 9th will also be non-working days.
On November 8, Azerbaijan celebrates Victory Day to commemorate its victory in the 44-day Second Karabakh War last autumn.
On November 8, 2020, the Azerbaijani army liberated the town of Shusha which played a crucial role in the outcome of the war and forced the enemy to capitulate two days later.
On the night of November 10, the Trilateral Statement of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia was signed. The document recorded the results of military operations, following which Azerbaijan completely liberated from the occupants the Fuzuli, Jabrail, Zangilan, Gubadli regions, a significant part of the Khojavend region, including the settlement of Hadrut, town of Shusha and settlements Sugovushan and Talysh in the north of Karabakh. In addition, under the agreement, the Armenian troops were withdrawn from Agdam, Kelbajar and Lachin regions (except for a 5 kilometer strip along the road connecting Armenia and Khankendi).
Note that November 9 is celebrated as Flag Day in Azerbaijan. On this day in 1918, the flag of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republic (1918) was adopted. The tricolor flag (blue, red, green ) with a crescent moon and eight-pointed star is the national flag of the present Azerbaijan Republic as well.-06D-
