Azerbaijani residents urged to wear masks in closed rooms
Baku/18.07.22/Turan: Health Ministry and TəBİB (Territorial Medical Units Management Association) called on the population of Azerbaijan to wear medical masks in closed rooms and observe the rules of hygiene.
According to the joint statement of these agencies, over the past few days the number of people infected with COVID-19 and the prevalence of those infected over those who recovered from the disease has grown in the country.
A similar trend has been observed worldwide, and WHO has therefore recommended that masks be worn in closed rooms and that hygiene rules be strictly observed.
Therefore, the Ministry of Health and TƏBİB strongly recommended citizens to wear medical masks indoors, keep social distance,avoid contacts and not to disregard the rules of hygiene. -16D06-

A fire has erupted at the Experimental and Testing Production of the Scientific Research Institute of SOCAR (the state oil company) in the Surakhani district of Baku, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. "Thanks to the urgent and necessary measures taken by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the spread of the fire to neighboring areas, including nearby residential buildings, has been prevented," the statement reads. Efforts to extinguish the fire are still ongoing.
