Azerbaijan's death toll from COVID-19 exceeded 8,000
Baku/07.12.21/Turan: 1,530 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Azerbaijan, 1,864 patients recovered and 21 died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers reported on 7 December.
Total number of those infected since the start of the pandemic have reached 598,503, including 567,385 recovered, 8,004 dead and 2,314 are active patients on treatment.
Over the past 24 hours, 12,863 tests have been carried out.
In Azerbaijan as well, 35,926 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
During the day, the number of those vaccinated with the first dose was 4,572; the second dose was 4,617 and a booster dose was given to 26,737 people.
Total number of vaccinations in Azerbaijan to date is 10,739,068 of which 5,103,256 people have received the first dose of vaccine, 4,597,903 people have received two doses, and 1,037,909 people have received a booster dose. -06D-
